Deva Living is brought to you by Patrick Blaauw, a Phuket veteran who has been actively involved in a variety of businesses since 1991. Deva Living (meaning Divine Living in Sanskrit) is Patrick's view on how to enjoy life in this paradisical setting and goes beyond beautiful homes he designs and builds for his discerning clients. Patrick takes pride in being able to select and manage the best craftsmen in Thailand who understand that his clients have come to expect. On completion of each property, Deva Living will assist owners to get the most of their investment by organising rentals or simply having their investment maintained to a five star resort standard.
The first Deva Living project was Thaibali, completed in 2006 and just five minutes from Bangtao Beach. These custom built Thai-Balinese villas cater to clients who want a hassle free investment with an option to join a rental pool and take out a variety of services including landscaping, villa management, villa maintenance, pool cleaning etc. More details are to be found on the Thaibali site.
Last quarter 2007 saw the start of construction of Deva Yama on Millionaires Mile at Nakalay Bay. A total of 9 opulent villas were priced to sell fast which reduces the construction period and high overheads that come with property development. Deva Living’s philosophy of developing only boutique projects is showing off good results; where large projects struggle to complete, a small development is financially more manageable and therefore a safer investment.
Due to the economic recession and its impact on the Phuket property market, Deva Yama decided to reduce the number of villas in the project to only four. Three villas are currently build and the fourth is under construction. The remainder of the land will be used to build three apartment buildings which will have similar appearances (in size and design) as the villas. Each building will only be two stories featuring two penthouses and two ground floor units and will be priced (again) to sell fast in order to complete the project as soon as possible.
